Fred C. WARREN (Born Buddy COSSABOOM). Son of Charles Edward COSSABOOM & Mary Eliza Barr. Born August 8, 1902 in Digby NS. Died August 12 1955 in Wolfeboro, NH. He served in the Navy in World War 1, was on several Battle Ships. After war he along with millions of others worked on the WPA as a painter. He worked in Lynn, MA first as a school janitor then the police and fire departments. Later he became a store owner in Milton Mills, NH. Fred Warren was born in Digby, Nova Scotia as Buddy Cossaboom. He took the name of his half brothers and sisters when they came to the USA. they were Warne's.

He married Evelyn Augusta DAVIS, daughter of Chester Arthur DAVIS & Ella Florence JELLISON, 24 Jun 1921. Evelyn was born February 21, 1905. She died in Wolfeboro, NH and was buried February 18, 1970 in Wolfeboro. Occupation Homemaker, Store Owner. They had the following children:

Dorothy June WARREN; Born 17 Jun 1922 in Lynn, MA.

Agnes Isabella COSSABOOM. daughter of Charles Edward COSSABOOM and Sarah Ann DENTON. She was born March 1863, married 11 Jan 1880 to Henry H. SULIS the son of Charles SULIS and Frances DYER. Agnes died on 22 Aug 1892. Henry Harris SULIS was born in 1857 and died in 1943. They had the following children:

Emma May COSSABOOM daughter of Charles Edward COSSABOOM and Sarah Ann DENTON. She was born July 22 1868. She died November 12, 1932. Emma married Herbert Hunington WOODMAN (1858- 1931) on November 17, 1886. Herbert was the son of Crocker WOODMAN & Eliza COSSETT of Smith's Cove, Digby Co., N.S. Emma and Herbert lived on the Old Post Road in Smith's Cove. As a young man Herbert was a mariner; later he was a farmer and proprietor of "Bay View Farm", a summer tourist home. They had the following children:

Herbert Leslie WOODMAN; born 11 Sept. 1887; died 10 Dec.1973; married 7 Oct. 1914 Elva ZWICKER.(1891-1972); no children.

John Kelsey COSSABOOM Son of Charles Edward COSSABOOM and Sarah Ann DENTON. John was born September 3, 1870 in Gullibers Cove. He married on 22 Jan 1896 Sarah Augusta COSSETT. Sarah, born 22 Aug. 1875, died 11 Sept 1966, the daughter of William COSSETT & Ellen BOWE of Smiths Cove. John died 6 Feb 1910 in Smith's Cove. They had the following children:

William Minard COSSABOOM Son of Charles Edward COSSABOOM and Sarah Ann DENTON. William was born July 22, 1873 and died in 1927. He married Clara Beatrice SULIS on July 6, 189?. Clara was born in Oct. 1869 and died March of 1960. She was the daughter of Charles SULIS and Frances DYER. William was the very successful proprietor of the Harbor View Hotel and Log Cabin Colony in Smith's Cove. They had the following children:

Lillian COSSABOOM; married Ralph SHEPHERD, one child.
Earl COSSABOOM; resided in Brockville, NY.
Winnifred COSSABOOM; married Allister MCINTYRE.

Florence Mildred COSSABOOM

Mary Arletta COSSABOOM daughter of Charles Edward COSSABOOM and Sarah Ann DENTON. She was born 1 July 1875, married (1) 29 April 1891 James NORTON. The Nortons lived in New York City and had 3 children. I believe the names were;

Paul NORTON
Dick NORTON

Arle's second husband was Stanley MCFARLAND, a lawyer, also of New York. Stanley and Arle had one child;

Grenville Stanley MacFarland was political manager for William R.Hearst when he ran for president of the United States.

Corah M. COSSABOOM daughter of Charles Edward COSSABOOM and Sarah Ann DENTON. She was born 23 July 1877, married 28 April 1895 George William POTTER who died in 1945. George was the son of Charles T. POTTER and Susan Ann CHUTE. They had one son;

Carleton K. Potter

Corah married (2) Henry BRENTON of U.S.A. and had one daughter (according to Smith's Cove and her Neighbours.)

George Bernard COSSABOOM Son of Charles Edward COSSABOOM and Sarah Ann DENTON. Born 8 June 1882; died 26 Aug. 1951;married Katherine DALEY. Kate was born about 1880, died in 1941. She was the daughter of Crawford DALEY and Seraph ? of Culloden, Digby Co.,NS. They were the proprietors of the Excel Inn in Digby; no children.
