Benjamin JELLISON. Son of
Ichabod JELLISON & Patience DONNELL. Born 1720 in
Berwick, Biddeford, ME. Died in Ellsworth, ME prior to 1790.
Rev War. Pvt MA DAR In King Philips War, Corporal at the
capture of Louisburg, Cape Breton in 1745. He was a corporal in
Capt. John Stover's (3rd) company,Sir William Pepperell's (1st)
Mass. regiment. This company was subsequently commanded by Joshua
Champlin, who was commissioned June 3,1745. also in Rev. War as
was son Benj , Wilm, and Joseph. Benjamin inherited most of his
fathers property and moved to Union river now Ellsworth Me about
1770. He bought half of Reed's Meadow of Sibley Pendexter,
May 23, 1775..He was part owner of second saw-mill on Union
River, and sold half of his homestead to son John March 21,1787.
He married Agnes PATTEN, daughter of
William PATTEN & Jane PATTEN
?, 8 Jul 1749 in Biddeford, ME. Born 1730 in Biddeford, York, Me.
Died in living 1795. Buried in Ellsworth. Admitted to the church
in Biddeford in 4/4/1756. They had the following children:

At Union River a petitioner to the General Court for land, 1784. De Gregoire deeded him a lot of land Dec. 13, 1788 lived at Union River May be William who drowned in Union River in 1810
- Benjamin JELLISON Jr (Twin); Born 22 Sep 1754 in Twin? Biddeford, York, Me. Died Jun 1830 in Ellsworth age about 76. In Rev. War.
- Joseph JELLISON (Twin); Born Before Sep 1754 in at Biddeford Twin?. Christen 22 Sep 1754 in Biddeford, Me. Died Before 1827 in Mariaville.
enlisted 8/24/1775 served till 12/31/1775. This Company. stationed at Frenchmans Bay for defence of the sea coast. He was a private in a detachment from Capt George Haslam's company, Col. Benj. foster's (Lincoln Co.) regiment. This detachment marched to the defence of Machias three different times, and served in Daniel Sullivans Co.

- John JELLISON Major; Born Before 1761 in Biddeford. Christen 13 Jan 1761 in Biddeford, Me. Died 23 Feb 1850 in Ellsworth 89y 1m 10 d.
John's military record, in part, is as follows:
"Mass. Vol. Militia, War of 1812; p 162 part of Col. Black's command; John Jellison, Major, Nathaniel Trueworthy, ensign, March and Apr. 1813 to Mt. Desert 7 to 9 days;they were called out again to defend Mt. Desert Dec. 27, 1813, the company being raised at Ellsworth. He continued to serve until the militia disbanded".
